Jira Integration
Availability monitoring without compromises. Automatically route outages to your engineering queues.
Configure Integration View Workflow RulesConnect StatusPulse to Your Jira Cloud Instance
Bridge your uptime monitoring with your incident response workflow in under three minutes. No custom code, no middleware.
1. Generate API Credentials
Navigate to Atlassian Developer Settings and create a new API token. Restrict permissions to jira:read and jira:write. Store the token securely in your StatusPulse dashboard under Integrations > Jira > Credentials.
2. Select Target Project & Issue Type
Map the integration to a specific Jira project such as OPS or SRE. Recommend using Incident or Task as the default issue type. We support both Jira Cloud and Data Center via REST API v2.
3. Enable Webhook Listener
StatusPulse pushes real-time event payloads to your Jira workspace. Toggle the webhook switch and verify connectivity. You will receive a test ticket labeled STATUSPULSE-TEST-001 within 30 seconds.
Dynamic Ticket Mapping & Context Injection
Translate raw monitoring metrics into actionable Jira fields. Every generated ticket carries the exact data your on-call engineers need to triage.
Priority Escalation Rules
Map SLA breach thresholds to Jira priorities automatically. 99.9% uptime drop triggers High, complete endpoint unavailability routes to Critical, and intermittent 5xx errors default to Medium. Override rules per monitor group.
Component & Label Assignment
Inject monitored service names directly into the Jira Component field. Example: api-gateway, cdn-edge, or auth-service. Auto-apply labels like uptime-monitor, auto-created, and incident-response for instant board filtering.
Structured Description Templates
Customize the ticket body with dynamic variables: monitor_name, downtime_duration, last_success_timestamp, and affected_regions. Engineers receive a ready-to-use incident report without switching contexts.
Auto-Resolution & Status Sync
Eliminate manual ticket housekeeping. StatusPulse tracks service recovery and updates Jira accordingly, keeping your backlog clean and your MTTR metrics accurate.
Recovery Detection & Closure
When a monitored endpoint returns to a healthy state for three consecutive successful checks, StatusPulse automatically transitions the linked Jira ticket to Done or Closed. Attach a recovery timestamp and total downtime duration to the issue history.
Comment & Notification Routing
Append structured recovery comments directly to the Jira ticket. Route notifications to specific Slack channels or PagerDuty services based on the original severity. Prevent alert fatigue by suppressing duplicate tickets during ongoing maintenance windows.
Audit Trail & Compliance
Every state change is logged with a unique correlation ID. Export integration logs for SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits. Track exactly when an outage was detected, ticketed, acknowledged, and resolved across both platforms.
